Empty Timetable

An Empty Timetable is a simplified timetable that includes only the sequence of stations — with no arrival or departure times.

It’s designed especially for Train Sim World, where most scenarios and services already include their own built-in schedule.

By using an Empty Timetable, ThirdRails allows the simulator to remain in charge of the timing, while still enabling you to enjoy:

  • Platform announcements
  • Route and service information
  • Live radar tracking

This setup keeps the experience immersive without adding pressure — perfect for players who want the realism of announcements without overriding the simulator's own timing.

How to use it:

You can enable the option “Follow Simulator’s Schedule” to empty any timetable — including real-time ones — during setup. (See Using the HUD)

You can also:

  • Create Empty Timetables manually in the Timetable Editor
  • Or generate them just-in-time before starting a ride

It’s a flexible way to enhance your TSW sessions with announcements, EBula, and radar features — while keeping the original timetable in place.
